Colt Sarnia Operations was established in 1992. Our main offices are located in Sarnia with staff deployed to several customers’ sites in the region.

The office has complete EPCM Management capability for revamp and grassroots projects.

Expertise and Technical Strength

Refining

Sarnia has breadth and depth of project experience in petroleum refining. Our alliances with top-tier refineries provide our project offices with a client’s perspective when executing major revamp projects. Our experience includes all major units: crude and vacuum, hydrocracking,

hydrotreating, FCCU and utilities and offsites of every description. Our scope includes business case development through to construction management responsibility, including QC/inspection and commissioning and start-up services.

Petroleum Products Distribution and Terminals

Sarnia staff have in-depth experience on large and small projects, including design of aboveground and underground storage facilities, manifolds, tank foundations and dikes,

metering/blending systems and storage and product movement automation and control systems.

Petro-Chemical / Industrial

Sarnia has completed a wide variety of projects in the petro-chemical and industrial sectors including debottlenecking and expansion projects, closed-loop cooling water systems, process and utility piping systems,

site development, buildings and structural design, high and low voltage electrical distribution systems including arc flash studies and area classification, process water treatment and steam generation.

Control Systems Integration

Sarnia has developed highly-specialized expertise in control systems integration. We have provided full EPCM, commissioning, start-up and swing-over services for a number of distributed control system, safety system

and other process control system projects, ranging from greenfield installation to control system expansions to complex control systems migrations/upgrades.
