The development is approximately 102 hectares of undeveloped land situated within the boundaries of the airport and included low rise offices, international exposition showrooms, airport support facilities and an 18 hole golf course.
WorleyParsons provided a feasibility study and subsequent detailed design of the park. Key features of the design included:
- 600,000 m3 of bulk earthworks
- Drainage analysis and design of both the commercial and golf course areas that incorporated an existing system of large open channels and retention basins
- Traffic and noise management studies based upon design requirements
- Road design of the major arterial and toll way roads into the airport
- Water supply encompassing potable water, golf course irrigation and fire service reticulation
- General gravity and pressure main sewerage reticulation
All available sources including groundwater, recycled and scheme water were investigated.
