Since 2002, WorleyParsons and its joint venture partner have provided EPCM services to this vast development program, completing in excess of 125 million manhours and 192,000 engineering documents. Current activities are focused on construction management where in excess of 10,000 personnel can be on site. First oil is anticipated by the end of this year with full facilities completion anticipated in 2008.
WorleyParsons’ extensive experience in remote and logistically challenging environments has helped the project to cost effectively move over 100 “out-of-gauge” equipment items from around the world. These items, too large to be transported using conventional methods, range in sizes up to eight meters diameter, 60 meters long and 354 tonnes.
