WorleyParsonsCord Ltd. was responsible for mechanical construction of an expansion to an existing and operating plant and involved:

  • Erection and grouting of 80 tons of structural steel and platforms
  • Setting and grouting a 300 ton absorber vessel
  • Setting and grouting of a 65 ton cold box and 2 inline cryogenic pumps
  • Process piping installation involved 2000 LM of up to 36” stainless steel piping

Tie-ins to the existing plant were completed during a fixed plant shutdown involving significant demolition of existing piping and installation of 65 welded and flanged tie ins, all completed during severe winter weather conditions.

Work was executed within a small congested footprint where daily coordination with other trades was key to successful on-time completion.
