WorleyParsonsCord Ltd. was the General Mechanical Contractor for Shell’s Greenfield thermal heavy oil production project in the Cold Lake area of NE Alberta.

Phase 1  was a 10,000 bbl per day SAGD facility with future infrastructure for a 20,000 bbl per day facility.  Work at the Central Processing Facility included water treating, steam generation, pads, oil treating and sales oil storage.

WorleyParsonsCord was also responsible for the installation of all well pads and gathering lines in support of the Orion Commercial Plant Site.  The pipelines consist of lateral pipelines stemming from a main trunk line to five (5) individual well pads.
