Services contract award for S11D Project with Vale Vale has awarded a significant cost reimbursable contract to a consortium of WorleyParsons and SNC-Lavalin for implementation of the S11D project in Brazil. Vale’s multi billion dollar S11D project is a world class 90 million tonnes per annum iron ore processing facility located approximately 1,940 kilometers north east of Sao Paulo in Para State, Brazil, in one of the World’s richest ore bodies.
Services contract award with Vale  Confirmation of award of major Saudi Alumina Refinery project Further to the announcement to the ASX on 3 May 2010, WorleyParsons can now confirm that it has been selected, in joint venture with Fluor Corporation, to be the managing partner in the development of a major new world class bauxite mine and alumina refinery for the Ma’aden-Alcoa joint venture in Saudi Arabia. WorleyParsons’ appointment follows its successful completion of front end engineering and associated services for the project, reinforcing its position as a global leader in the bauxite and alumina industry.
