WorleyParsons has been engaged to provide project management, procurement and construction management services for Karara Mining Limited’s Karara Iron Ore Project. Under the contract, Karara and WorleyParsons have formed an integrated project management team to deliver the project. The estimated revenue to WorleyParsons from the contract is $114 million.
Karara Iron Ore contract Project award
WorleyParsons’ involvement in the project began in February 2008 during the feasibility assessment phase. The contract covers provision of services until completion, which is expected in the 4th quarter of 2011. A team of approximately 100 WorleyParsons personnel is currently supporting the project.
