Worley Qatar has just been awarded an Engineering Support Contract by Maersk Oil Qatar. The term is for two years with provision for an optional third year .
The team will provide the engineering and design of modifications to existing facilities associated with Maersk's significant Block 5 Offshore Field Development, which is currently out for EPIC Tender.
The office will utilise Worley systems including Incontrol and the EMS, both of which particularly impressed Maersk during the tendering phase. Over 50 distinct projects have been identified for execution. These range from additional power generation facilities to modifications to the process and water injection facilities to accommodate enhanced production and high pressure gas compression, that the field development project will introduce.
